Quick Collect, our Handheld Field Data Software, has been designed to run on handheld units as well as laptop and PC. It is a simple, effective replacement for paper based data collection methods.
The software is clear, built to complement the field user’s thinking and it can be deployed quickly in the field by our team with your operators trained in a matter of days.
Quick Collect was designed by a field operator and we pride ourselves on the fact that Quick Collect makes sense to operators. As it makes sense it is easier to implement more likely to be accepted in the field.
Once deployed, the time savings and accuracy of data collection are clear and this means the return on your investment is achieved in a matter of months.
After extensive research, QOS preferred handheld unit is the Motorola-Bartec MC-9090 I-Safe. This is due to its robust nature and ease of use in the field. From our experience with many different units, the feedback overwhelmingly made this the fields unit of choice. We will deploy Quick Collect on any Windows OS based handheld but find the MC-9090 works best in areas with the possibility of airborne hydrocarbons and rugged use. Historically we have deployed on the Intermec 730 and been very happy with the result.
Our experience has been that the end user does not draw a distinction between a hardware problem and software problem so we don’t think that way either. We then limit the possibility of hardware issues by only deploying on hardware with which we are comfortable. Currently that list include
Quick Collect has many inbuilt features and calculations but maintains its clarity and simplicity throughout meaning that all technical abilities are able to use it.
Priced efficiently, Quick Collect does not replace SCADA, it has been designed to complement it where cost prohibits it. We also track unique data that it would not be cost effective for a SCADA application to capture.
Allowing for 30 to 50 wells on one handheld, plus plant readings and with runs being memory card based, Quick Collect is fully transportable in case of handheld damage. The handheld is not unique it is just a vessel the SD Card is unique and transferable.
